We see patients requiring physiotherapy for chest and breathing conditions, as well as rehabilitation for other acute or chronic medical conditions. We treat patients on wards, as well as seeing them as outpatients.
Our Respiratory and Cardiac Physiotherapy Team offers outpatient services which are clinics or group sessions for the following:
- Pulmonary rehabilitation
- Cardiac/heart failure rehabilitation
- Secretion clearance clinic
- Breathing clinic
- Lung cancer clinic
We also work on a variety of wards, including Byland, Jervaulx, Granby, Nidderdale, AMU, and CATT.
Opening times
Physiotherapy Department, Harrogate District Hospital:
Monday-Friday, 7.30am-6pm
Physiotherapy Department, Ripon Community Hospital:
Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm. On some evenings we open until 6pm. Please call the Department for more information.
We work on various wards between 8.30am-5pm. Patients can be seen at any time of the day, including during visiting hours.

Outpatients can be referred to us via a number of routes. You may be referred by your GP, consultant, or by nursing or therapy staff working across a number of clinical areas.
