Members of the public and local businesses are being thanked for their “fantastic” support and generosity following an event to raise money for Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity.
The Charity’s ‘It’s a Knockout’ event, a day of inflatables, water, foam and fun to raise valuable funds for NHS services at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, took place on Saturday 15 June, at Ashville College in Harrogate. The event saw support from a whole host of businesses in Harrogate and beyond, including; host Ashville College, the Rotary Club of Harrogate, photographer Keith James, Harrogate Integrated Facilities (HIF), KD Fruiterers and Natural Balance Foods.
Team Prizes and contributions to the raffle were received by The Majestic Hotel, LiveforToday, Clue HQ, MI & Co, Harrogate Golf Club, Great Yorkshire Show, Slingsby Gin and The White Swan Wighill, as well as; Best Kept Secret, West Park Antiques/Zoe’s Dust Collectors, Secret Bakery, Leeds Golf Centre and Waitrose Harrogate. Further contributions include; Pomfrets Wetherby, Westminster Arcade Tearooms, Bark Busters, Wetherby Brewery, Farrahs Harrogate; Por Favour and Sophie Likes.
Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity is also thanking the many teams that took part in the event, including families, businesses, organisations and Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust staff for their support in raising valuable funds for the charity.
Sammy Lambert of Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity, said: “We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along and supported our ‘It’s a Knockout’ event – including participants, spectators, stall holders and local businesses. The support we’ve received has been fantastic, and we’re incredibly grateful for their generosity in donating prizes for our raffle.
“We would also like to thank host Ashville College for their support in using their facilities to make the event a huge success, as well as all the teams who helped us raise vital funds to allow us to improve Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust’s facilities for patients and visitors. We are in discussions and looking to bring this event back to Harrogate again next year!”
The ‘It’s a Knockout’ family fun day also provided plenty for spectators to get involved in, including face painting, food and drink, a raffle and a variety of other stalls. ‘Graham Fisher’s International It’s a Knockout’ has an ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ theme and those who signed up to take on the event faced a wide range of challenges, such as an inflatable obstacle course, fancy dress games and other wacky races involving plenty of water and foam – all to raise money for NHS services at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.
